LISMORE DIOCESAN SECONDARY ATHLETICS CARNIVAL – 2 SEPTEMBER 2024, COFFS HARBOUR

The Lismore Diocesan Secondary Athletics Carnival was held at Coffs Harbour Stadium on Monday, 2 September 2024.

Congratulations to convener Danielle Mcara and St John Paul College, Coffs Harbour for hosting an excellent carnival. The weather was hot yet wonderful and a good time was had by all students and staff in attendance. 

Congratulations to MacKillop College, Port Macquarie, for taking out Champion School of the Diocese this year.

CCC ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS – 11 SEPTEMBER 2023 HOMEBUSH, SYDNEY CANCELLED 

The CCC Athletics Championships were to be  held at Homebush on Monday, 11 September. Lismore Diocese had 81 students who were to compete at this year’s athletics championships but due to unforeseen and serious safety concerns the NSWCCC Athletics Championships was cancelled.

Thank you to Lismore parents for your support and understanding. I know that students were very disappointed this year in not being able to compete at the  CCC Athletics Championships  but their safety and wellbeing along with their parents, Lismore managers, event staff and students and families from other dioceses was number one priority.

Congratulations to MacKillop College, Port Macquarie, for taking out Champion School of the Diocese this year.

There were some outstanding results today, with a number of records broken:

Wilton "Wilson" Townsend from Kempsey who broke the 1500m 14 years boy record
 Erin Lanyon from Mt St Pat's broke the Junior Triple Jump Record with a massive 10.81m jump.
 Xavier Dann from Woodlawn broke the 12 years boys discus by 4m set in 2012.

CCC ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS – 12 SEPTEMBER 2022 HOMEBUSH, SYDNEY

The CCC Athletics Championships were held at Homebush on Monday, 12 September. Lismore Diocese had 90 students attend this year’s athletics championships. Congratulations to all Lismore Diocesan students on their achievements this year. There were some outstanding results both on the track and in field events.
